Kara Leigh Calvin Jones, 23, left her earthly home April 23, 2006, in Mannford, OK.
Kara was born April 21, 1983, into the marriage of Wendall and Teresa Calvin. She lived in the Columbia area until her marriage to Gary Jones.
She spent her school years at Midway Elementary School, Smithton Middle School, West Junior High School, Hickman High School and Linn State Technical College. She was pursuing a career in the automotive field. Her hobbies included Nascar art and poetry.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Earl Leeroy Calvin and Kenneth Lee(1924 - 1996), and grandmother Sally Davenport and great-grandfather Leroy Massey(1922 - 1943) .
She is survived by her husband, Gary Jones; parents David and Teresa Carlos; brother Justin Carlos; parents Wendall and Lisa Calvin; siblings Lauren, Rusty and Tyler Calvin; grandparents Karon and James Rush, Kathryn Calvin Lee, Ed and Linda Carlos, and  Timothy Griffith(1942 - 2009) ; great-grandmother Doris Rolle(1921 - 2010) ; and numerous other family members.
Although Kara's time with us was brief, she lives on in the hearts of all of those she touched.
Visitation will be April 27, at Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be Friday at Midway Locust Grove United Methodist Church in Midway, with internment following at Locust Grove Cemetery in Midway.
