Christina Phillippe Barnett, 98, of Paris, formerly of Bonham, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Spring Lake Assisted Living Community in Paris. Mrs. Barnett, the daughter of Lester and Mabel Phillippe was born September 24, 1916 in Dallas, Texas.

In October of 1936, she married V. L. Barnett, building 42 years of family and memories before his death in July of 1979. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Bonham where she served as church librarian for many years. Before her move to Paris three years ago, she was active in all church activities and many civic organizations in Bonham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, V. L. and a sister, Jeanette Addington.

Survivors include four children, Rosemary LeGrotte and husband Jim of Pilot Point, Jane Baker and husband Kenneth of Carrollton, Debbie Pierce and husband Brad of Paris and John Barnett of New Braunfels, seven grandchildren, Christina Beleck, Vickie Stinchcomb, Pam Stillwell, Darby Pierce, Brady Pierce, Curtis LeGrotte and Craig LeGrotte, ten great grandchildren, along with friends from Spring Lake Assisted Living Community and her church family.

Services are at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18 at First Baptist Church of Bonham with Rev. Fred Fangio officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Brady Pierce, Brad Pierce, Kenneth Baker and Greg Towe.
