Of Festus entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2015 at Festus Manor Nursing Center.

Hazel enjoyed sewing, cooking, hiking, fishing, reading, and played baseball. She was a cook and cashier for the Mehlville School District and Popes Cafeteria. Born August 14, 1920 in Black, Missouri to the late Grover and Nora (Nee Lewis) Foster.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Almo Cleo Black in June 1986.

She is survived by two daughters: Virginia (Husband, Dr. Jackson) Fitzgerald of Pevely, MO, and Angelia (Husband, Steve) Steadman of House Springs, MO; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Black of DeSoto, MO; a brother-in-law, Ova Crocker of Lesterville, MO; Eight grandchildren: Rick (Wife, Denise) Rayfield, Tracey (Wife, Audrey) Rayfield, Chris (Wife, Tammy) Black, Jeff Black, Rodney (Wife, Jennifer) Wallner, Patrick Fitzgerald and Doretha Fitzgerald (Wife of the late Scott Fitzgerald; Ten Great-grandchildren: Doug (Wife, Christina) Rayfield, Dan (Wife, Katie) Rayfield, Stephanie Steel, Haley Black, Sophia Black, DusDee Black, Samantha Black, Aubrey Wallner, Katelyn Terrell, Thomas Fitzgerald and one great-great-grandchild, Davis Black.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Harold Black; a daughter, Fairy Mae and her Husband, David Rayfield; her brother, Lexie and his Wife, Daisy Foster; four sisters: Lottie (Cloviece) Husband, Gene Moses, Ava "Pearl" and her Husband, Glen Bowles, Zoa and her Husband, Buck Gallaher and Neva Crocker.
