Martin was born to Priska (Delaney) and James Clark.
He served honorably in the U. S. Army to the rank of Sp4.
Martin worked as a plumber at Clyde Hanger Plumbing & Heating, Hunter-Prell Plumbing & Heating and then self-employed as Martin J. Clark Plumbing & Heating, retiring in 2005.
He was a former member of the American Legion Post #54 and Master Plumber's Union. His hobbies included cooking and collecting cookbooks, gardening, fishing, music, traveling, casinos, and visiting his granddaughters.
He married his lovely wife Kathy in 1977, she survives. Also surviving are children; daughter, Karen Clark of Wyoming; step-daughter, Christine Palmer (Jim) Lake of Marquette; two step grand children, Sydney and Lyndsey Lake; sisters Eva (Floyd) Sampson of Battle Creek; Veronica (Alan) Smith of Charlotte, Michigan.
Martin was preceded in death by parents; Priska and James; sisters, Joan, and Bertha; brothers, Charles, Alex, John and Frances.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.
