Upon his return from the war he returned to their employ. In May 1947 he was named the manager of the store in St. Anthony.
In the meantime, Orville married Helen Huskinson on August 31, 1946 in Rexburg, Idaho. They became parents to a son, Ronald Ted. The family moved to Wilder, Idaho where Orville had ownership in a variety store. Helen died in 1950.
There is no evidence that Orville remarried. Public records show that he lived in Boise, Idaho.
