NEW BEDFORD – Juliet M. (Giusti) Wright O'Shea, 91, of New Bedford, died Monday, February 19, 2007, at the Clifton Nursing Center in Somerset. Born in New Bedford, on May 24,1915, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Castagnoli) Giusti, she was the wife of the late Russell A. Wright and the late James O’Shea. Mrs. O’Shea was a lifelong resident of New Bedford and also had summer and winter residences in Chatham and Venice, Florida.

Mrs. O’Shea worked as a bookkeeper for her father’s business, the Giusti Baking Co., and for the Borden Insurance Agency, before retiring in 1984 at the age of 69. Mrs. O’Shea was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in New Bedford and was an active member of the New Bedford Mothers Club for many years. She was married to Mr. Wright for seventeen years until his death in 1957. In 1984, she married Mr. O’Shea, to whom she was married for 22 years. Mrs. O’Shea loved spending time with her parents and her four sisters, her children, and later her grandchildren at her parent’s beach house on Sconticut Neck. She also loved the time she spent on the beach in Florida and on Cape Cod.

Mrs. O’Shea was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves a daughter, Janice Mandeville and her husband Paul of Dartmouth; a son, Russell D. Wright and his wife June of W. Yarmouth; two sisters, Gloria Lapierre of Largo, FL, and Aurora Rolli of New Bedford; five grandchildren, Timothy Pedersen, Amy Neznayko, Peter Mandevile, Rebecca Balzarni, and Michael Wright; eight great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews . She was the grandmother of the late Lori Wright. She is also survived by Dennis O’Shea of Ft. Myers, FL; David O’Shea of Lawrence, MA; MaryAnn Connors of Middleboro, MA; and their families.

Her funeral service will be held in the Smith Mills Congregational Church, 11 Andersen Way, Dartmouth. Her ashes will be scattered in the ocean by her family at a later time with a cenotaph in Pine Grove Cemetery in New Bedford MA
