William Millar, 83, died Monday afternoon of a heart ailment at the home of his daughter.
Mr. Millar was a farmer and stockman and was prominent in the sheep industry since its start in this community. His farm home burned to the ground about a month ago.
He was born May 09, 1879, in Eagaesham, Scotland, a son of Alexander and Margaret Thompson Millar.
He married Elizabeth Graham on February 06, 1925, in Biggar, Scotland. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his widow, a son, and two daughters, all of Mount Pleasant; four grandchildren; a sister.
Funeral Services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church.
Friends may call Friday from 11:00 a.m. to the time of Services at the family home, 3rd West and 5th South.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant City Cemetery directed by Orsenbach Funeral Home.
