Mary R. (Grady) O'Brien age 82 of Thacher Street, Attleboro died suddenly Tuesday, December 22, 2005 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Leon V. O’Brien who died in 2001. She was born in Arlington, MA on June 14, 1923 a daughter of the late Charles C. and Mary (Corbett) Grady.

She had lived in Attleboro for the past fifty years having previously grown up in Arlington, MA. Mrs. O’Brien was a homemaker and a communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Attleboro.

She leaves two sons Michael C. O’Brien and James J. and his wife Jacqueline O’Brien both of Attleboro. Two daughters Maureen L. and her husband Stockton W. Woodruff, III of Jamaica, VT. And Barbara O’Brien of Attleboro. Two sisters Joan Lawrence of Pinehurst, NC and Louise Bates of Scituate, MA Three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Kathleen Deavellar and the sister of the late Rev. Charles Grady.

Her Funeral will be held on Friday, December 23, 2005 at 10 AM from THE FOLEY-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 126 South Main St. (Route 152), Attleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated by the Rev. John Raposo will follow at 11AM in Holy Ghost Church, 71 Linden St. Attleboro. Burial will be in the Family Lot in St. John Cemetery, West St. Attleboro.
