Robert R. Arnos, 79, of New Haven, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

Born in Allen County, he was the son of the late Russell and Cecelia (Orlowski) Arnos. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Fort Wayne, where he served as a past Trustee. He was also a 4-H leader for Milan Boosters for 25 years. Robert was self-employed at Robert R. Arnos, Inc. General Contractor for over 55 years.

He loved playing cards, reading, woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends at Lake George. He also loved God, and touched many lives through his actions and words.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty (Brager) Arnos; children, Robert (Kathy) Arnos, Jr. of Fort Wayne, Mark (Kathy) Arnos of New Haven, Lisa (Jerry) Milner of New Port Richey, FL, and Jeanne (Norm) Hoffman of New Haven; siblings, David (Lelia) Arnos of Fort Wayne, and Elizabeth (Gilbert) Hoffman of Woodburn; grandchildren, Leon (Rebecca) Milner, Meghan Milner, Paul (Maria) Hoffman, Lindsay Hoffman, Matthew Arnos, Olivia Arnos, and Andrew Arnos; sisters-in-law, Lois Arnos of Angola, and Doris Arnos of New Haven.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Gary and Dale Arnos.

Funeral service is 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Salem United Church of Christ, 2401 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Pastors Michael Smith and Jerry Milner officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.

Burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven.
