Gregory B. "Head" Ford, 55, lifelong resident of New Castle, passed away Friday, Jan. 16,2015 at the St. Vincent Hospice Center in Indianapolis.
He was born Sept. 18,1959 in New Castle, a son of the late Joseph c. "J.C." and Virgie (Williams) Ford. He attended New Castle schools and had worked 19 years for the City of New Castle Parks Department. He also worked as a construction worker.
He loved sharing time with his family and friends and listening to country music.
Left to cherish his loving memory include one daughter, Jennifer Ford (companion Danny Martt) of New Castle; one son Brance Ford of Muncie; one brother Danny Ford of New Castle and several grandchildren. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive including a very special uncle and aunt, Uncle Tom and Aunt Peggy Ford of New Castle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings: Tamara Ford, Rodney Ford, Rick Ford, Darrell Ford, Bruce "Biff" Ford and Randy Ford.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20,2015 at Macer-Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 1 p.m. Rev. Ray Boyles will be officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.
