WHITNEY BURIAL FOR J.N. COOK
Hillsboro, May 8 (SPL)
Funeral services were scheduled at Marshall & Marshall Chapel, Hillsboro at 3 pm Thursday for Jasper Newton Cook, 66, of near Whitney, who died in a Clifton Hospital Wed. afternoon.
Services were to be conducted by Minister Lewis of the Church of Christ with interment in Whitney Cemetery.
Born in Johnson Co., he married Miss Altie Scott of Hill County 38 years ago and they lived in Navarro, Bosque and Hill Counties, residing near Whitney the past two years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his widow; 2 brothers, C.C. Cook of Eastland and S.R. Cook of Cisco; 2 sisters, Mesdames Sallie Tulley and Pearl Haley both of Kileen, 10 children; Mrs. Virgie Minnix, Mrs. Mamie Daniels and James Good, all of Meridian; Mrs. Letha Ballard of Grand Prairie, Mrs. Ollie Honeycutt of Hillsboro, Weldon Cook of Dallas, Mrs. Viola Sanders of West, Mrs. Joyce Recton of Kilgore, Aubrey & Wayne Cook of Whitney & 14 grandchildren.
