James W. Watters, Sr., 94, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on January 17, 2015 at Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, Lake County, Florida. Born on the family farm, formerly known as "Maple Mere" in Fallston, Md, he was the son of Walter Archer Watters and Julia Ella Rockey Watters. He was the husband of the late Pearl L. Watters and Norma Holmes Watters. A dairy farmer, he later worked as a machinist. He was a member of the Bel Air Moose Lodge #1952. He was an avid horseman and thoroughly enjoyed fox hunting in many areas around Harford County, in addition to participating with the Maryland Hunt Club events.

Mr. Watters is survived by his daughters: Beverly A. Tall and Miriam L. Payne, both of Leesburg, Florida; son James W. Watters, Jr. of San Mateo, CA; a brother, Lawrence E. Watters of Fallston, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother Walter A. Watters, Jr., and two sisters, Marian Lillie Watters Seay and Muriel Isabelle Watters Thatcher.

Visitation will be held at McComas Funeral Home, 50 W. Broadway, Bel Air, Md on Saturday, January 24, 2015, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with a service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Bel Air Memorial Gardens in Bel Air.
