Billy Joe "Bill" Anson was born on August 13th, 1941 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of A.F. "Cobb" and Mildred (Dickson) Anson. Bills health began to fail him and he passed from this life on January 13th, 2015 in Muskogee, OK with his family by his side. Bill was 73 years old.
While he was yet in school, he met the future love of his life at the local skating rink, and became sweethearts for the next 54 years, marrying Carolyn Vann on September 2nd, 1960 in Tahlequah, OK. Together they raised their family of boys, Dean, Michael, Gary, and Larry. He enlisted in the US Army when he completed high school. Bill made his living as a paint and body specialist in the automotive business.
When his time was his own, Bill was extremely artistic. He could paint or draw anything he set his mind to. His oil painting and his music were inspirational to Bill. He played guitar and loved a day spent fishing or a quiet walk down the lane with his canine companions. He enjoyed the simple things in life like a day spent with his family, wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed people, and had an easy going manner that made him friends easily. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his mother and father, and his son, Larry Joe Anson.
Those left to cherish Bill's memory include his loving wife Carolyn of the home. He leaves three sons, Dean, Michael, and Gary Anson all of Tahlequah, OK. He has one brother, Ronnie Anson of Sallisaw, OK. His legacy lives on in his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, as well as cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
