Ray Junior Anderson, 77, of Belvidere, IL, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Junior was born May 16, 1937 in Ozark County, MO, son of John and Joyce (Provow) Anderson. He married Judy Johanningsmeier on December 22, 1956 in Belvidere, IL.

Junior retired from Chrysler Corporation. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Ray and Judy were snow birds, spending half of the year in Inverness, FL. While in Florida, Ray volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, and the local food pantry.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife, Judy; daughter, Judy Kay (Nate) Curran; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2015 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel with Rev. Allan Buss officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be given to Transitions Hospice in Ray's name.
