Jane Truscott Poulson

November 6, 1868 – January 8, 1945


Mrs. Jane Truscott Poulson , 78, died Monday afternoon after a lingering illness from heart trouble and complications.


She was born in Mt. Pleasant Nov. 8, 1868, a daughter of John and Sarah Anne Foulkes Truscott and had lived here all her life. She was married July 31, 1886, in Salt Lake City to Alexander H. Poulson, prominent wool grower and farmer of this city, and they were the parents of 11 children. Mr. Poulson died Dec. 21, 1940. Mrs. Poulson was a member of the LDS church and a member of the Women's Progressive club.


She is survived by four daughters and three sons, Mrs. Stella P. Clement, Mrs. Vera P. Perham and Shirley Poulson of Springville; Mrs. Tressa P. Batemen of Salt Lake City,; Mrs. Dorothy P. Larsen of San Francisco; Charles A, and Harold Poulson of Mt. Pleasant; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, John and Charles Trustcott of Mt. Pleasant, and two sisters, Mrs. Harriet J. Fullmer and Mrs. Mary Rhodehouse of St. Anthony, Ida. She has three grandsons serving with the U. S. armed forces.
