Mrs. B. Ellen S. Grover, 73, of 3507 Glenwood St., Two Rivers, died Saturday,
May 30, at Hamilton Memorial Home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral
Home, Two Rivers. The Rev. Melvin Henrichs will officiate.
Mrs. Grover was born Feb. 3, 1908, at LaPorte, Ind., daughter of the late Charley
and Elizabeth Fisher Sharp. Following her graduation from high school in Gary,
she attended the University of Illinois and later obtained her bachelor of arts
degree from Michigan State University with majors in English and History. She
taught Seventh and Eighth Grade English Classes in Gary School System and summer
months she studied for her masters degree at the University of Chicago. She was
married to Philip D. Grover Oct. 10, 1940, at Gary. Mrs. Grover taught Seventh
and Eight (sic) Grade English at St. Luke School, Two Rivers. She was a member
of Grace Congregational Church, Two Rivers, Chapter 383, EAA, of Manitowoc, AARP
and DAR. She served as secretary and treasurer of Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include her husband, Philip, a daughter, Margarette Phyllis Frei and
son-in-law, Hermann Frei and grandson, Hans Philip Frei of Peoria, Ill., and a
daughter, Nancy Ann Grover and son-in-law, James Munroe and granddaughter, Eileen
Grover Munroe of Los Alamos, N.M. and a sister, Margarette Sharp of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, after 6
o'clock this Monday evening and after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
