Gerald Howard Stanley Jr., 57, of 1017 Cedar Street, Elizabeth City, N.C., died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. Born in Elizabeth City, N.C., he was the son of the late Gerald Howard Stanley Sr. and Mandola Hollingsworth Stanley.Mr. Stanley is survived by three sisters, Susie Watson and husband Earl of Gates, N.C., Becky Bowen of Currituck, N.C., and Kathy Goodson and husband Stewart of Greenville, N.C.; a brother, Roger Stanley of Elizabeth City, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. Burial will be in New Hollywood Cemetery.
