Karen Marie Ault, 49, of Evansville, completed her life journey at St. Mary's Hospital on January 13, 2015, surrounded by family.


She is now up in Heaven hugging as many Angels as she can.



She was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, on November 2, 1965, to Donald and Helen (Farley) Ault, whom precede her in death.

Karen attended Harrison High School and was part of the 1985 graduating class. She enjoyed crafts, movies, joking with friends, and diet cokes. She was especially fond of traveling to countless new destinations with family and friends and appreciating all that life had given her.


She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. Karen is survived by her brother; Jason and sister-in-law Cindy, nieces Josie and Tabbitha Ault, all of Evansville, IN.; her aunt Bea Ramsey of Newburgh, IN.; her uncle Jimmy Farley of Dubois, Idaho; and roommates David and Melissa of Evansville, IN.


Karen spent many years participating in Special Olympics and various other events.

Karen retired from Evansville ARC on Kotter Ave., after 20+ years of service.


Karen's family wishes to express their deepest and heartfelt gratitude to everyone with SIRS (her other family) whose support made it possible for Karen to remain strong through her life's journey.

Memorial contributions may be made to SIRS in Boonville, IN., Evansville ARC, or the Special Olympics.


A celebration of her life is planned for January 18, 2015 at 3pm until 6pm at Sunset Funeral Home in Evansville.


Funeral services will follow on Monday beginning at 11am with a brief time of fellowship of friends and family from 9am until 11am.
