Samuel H. Draper, a well-known resident of this township died at his late home on Yankee Ridge, Tuesday night at 12 o'clock, the 16th inst., of Bright's disease of the kidneys. His age was 86 years. He was married four times.
By individual industry, thrift, and economy, he, having confined himself to farming and stock raising, as a special interest, has asccumulated and now leaves one of the largest land interests in this township, besides a large amount of personal property. In politics, Mr. Draper was a Democrat of the old Jacksonion School. In his political faith he was a strict economist and advocated rigid honesty in the administration of public affairs. In his own township he has been elected Trustee for 20-consecutive years. This shows what may bre accomplished by him, who, in the short space of time that is allotted to man in human life, adheres strictly to sobriety, economy and business principles. Mr. Draper had deep convictions of justice and right.
