James "Pete" Nelson Gallaher, 72, passed away January 3, 2015 in Parowan, Utah among family at his home. He was born March 17, 1942 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Franklin D. and Madge Cash Gallaher. He was diagnosed with MD at the age of 19, but he never let it stop him from living life to the fullest.

Pete always worked multiple jobs, and never backed down from a challenge in life. They say he never met a stranger. His last job was as a Transportation Escort Driver. He loved to drive and that took him all over the country. He loved to hunt for gold with his son Scott, until he could no longer make the trip. Pete was an Ace Poker player and he taught his sons, nephews, and great nephews how to play as he took their pennies. He loved spending those special times with the kids.

He married the love of his life, Carol Louise Duda on December 18, 1963. They divorced in March, 1994. He is survived by his brother Gerald (Sandra) Gallaher, his sister Norma (Bob) Hoovan, and his children Scott Gallaher, Greg Gallaher, & Sheliah (Brad) Dover, as well as his grandchildren Ronnie, Austin, Georgia, Amberly, and Cody, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Franklin D. Gallaher, & Madge Cash Junkins, a brother Paul Edward Gallaher (Infant), and granddaughter Miranda (Infant).

A Memorial will be held on his birthday in March.
