Eugenia "Jean" Smith, age 93 of Springfield, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Mt. Juliet Healthcare. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Crouch officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 4 until 8 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
Mrs. Smith was born November 2, 1921 in Cookeville to the late Frank and Rebecca Neal Logue. She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Riley Smith; brothers, J.F. and Neal Logue; and sisters, Rebecca White and Trixie Foster.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Nancy Smith of Greenbrier; daughter Sarah and Buddy Pickler of Mt. Juliet; brother-in-law, C.W. Foster of Nashville; grandchildren, Ricky Smith, Jason Smith, Angie Dawson, Brian Pickler, Amy Fowler, and Marie Keopf; and thirteen great grandchildren.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Hillcrest Church of Christ Mission Fund. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
