Wanda Bray Shepherd, 85, of Corbin, died Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Baptist Regional Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late Grover and Bessie Sizemore Bray, born March 18, 1927, in Hyden. She was a housewife and a homemaker and a member of the Lily Holiness Church. Before her illness, she loved to quilt, cook, go to church and loved to raise a garden. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved people and was so kind to everyone she knew. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Grover Bray; mother, Bessie Sizemore Bray; husband, Johnny Shepherd; brothers, Burgin Bray, Paul Bray, Silas Bray, Johnny Bray and Billie Bray; and grandson, James Starlen Baxter.

She is survived by her son, Doug Sizemore, of East Bernstadt; daughters, Pat Baxter (Doug), of Keavy, Betty House (Duke), of Lily, and Thelma Smallwood, of Lily; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Corbin Funeral Home Chapel with Lonnie Bray officiating. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy.

Pallbearers will be Dwane House, Pat Murphy, Eddie Sloan, Terry Hoskins, Donnie Sizemore, Scotty Cox and John Paul Sizemore.
