Mildred Blanch (Bonnet) Hammack, 80, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015. She was born on July 25, 1934 in Nameless, Texas, to Felix Milton and Bulah Blanch (Preece) Bonnet.

Mrs. Hammack was preceded in death by her mother and father; son, Billy Hammack; brothers, Raymond Bonnet, R.B. Bonnet, and Vernon Bonnet; and a sister, Bonnie (3 months old). She is survived by her daughter, Blenda Hammack Wilson and husband Tommy; son, Greg Hammack and wife LuAnn; son, Clay Hammack and wife Ida; daughter-in-law, Connie Hammack-Pena; five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; brothers, Loyad Bonnet and wife Jean, James Bonnet and wife Martha, Jerry Bonnet and wife Sandra; and sisters, Lucy Proffitt and husband Dale, Esther Miller Strange, and Dorothy Burlin.

Mildred was a loving, Christian mother always putting her children first – family was very important to her. She was faithful to her ladies’ Bible study group and often drove to Taylor for their Bible studies. She loved her church family, the members of North Gabriel Christian Assembly, who were also faithful to her by often ministering to her needs.

Mildred was a strong person and an excellent seamstress. Although she had not worked outside home earlier, at age 55 she was faced with that challenge. She earned her real estate license and became a real estate agent. Later she worked as a conference coordinator at IBM.

She had an immense enthusiasm for life, learning and experiencing new things. She also loved to travel with her sisters. She enjoyed history, especially her family history; she was gifted with an excellent memory of her early life at age 3-4 years old and events throughout her life. She was member of the German-Texas Society and Cedar Park Heritage organization. Mildred was a great cook, generously sharing her delicious dishes with family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park, Texas. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 15, at 2:00 PM at Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park, Texas. Interment will immediately follow in Bagdad Cemetery, Leander, Texas. Serving as pallbearers: Bruce Bonnet, Byran Bonnet, Mark Alexander, Neil Hammack, Monty Hammack and Don Hart, Jr. Honorary pallbearer: Don Hart, Sr.
