Amy Carolyn Tate, 59, of Marlin died Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 26, 1998. Services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, 1998 at the First Baptist Church of Marlin. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery. Amy was born March 7, 1939, in Marlin, the daughter of Chester and Myrtlene Criswell Tate. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and 1957 graduate of Marlin High School. She attended Stephen F. Austin University and retired after 30 years of service at the Thomas T. Connally V.A. Medical Center in Marlin where she a laboratory technician.
Survivors include a brother, Tommy Tate and his wife Anita of Marlin; four nephews, Dave, Dean, Drew and Adam Tate; and one niece Donna Miner. Pall bearers were her four nephews and Stephen and Adam Goodman.
