Mrs. Marie Duarte, 79 years old died this morning at a local hospital. She had lived at Beatrice five years, had been in California 25 years and was a native of the Azores Islands.
Surviving are the following relatives: two sons, Joseph R. Duarte of Loleta; Antone R. Duarte of Colusa: Mrs. A. Servente, Vallejo; Mrs. Frank Nunes, Ferndale; Mrs. Isabelle Lawrenco(sic), Beatrice; Mrs. Joseph E. Silva, Ferndale; a brother, John Perrira, Stockton.
Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock services will be at the family home in Beatrice with requiem mass at St. Bernard's Catholic church at 10:30 o'clock. Interment will be in Bucksport. Rosary will be said Tuesday evening at 9 o'clock at the family home.
