Margaret Hudson
Services will be Friday for longtime county resident Margaret Hudson, also known as Sister Mary Cordis, who died of cancer Tuesday at Notre Dame Villa in Saratoga. She was 78. A native of Watsonville, Sister Cordis entered the Poor Clares Monastery on State Park Drive in Aptos in 1967. She made her profession of vows in 1969. She moved with the community in 1990 to Pleasant Valley Road in Aptos. She is survived by two sisters, Charlotte Dorsey of Watsonville and Louise Wilson of Ventura; a sister-in-law, Edith Hudson of Watsonville; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Poor Clares Monastery, 1671 Pleasant Valley Road, Aptos. Norman's Family Chapel in Soquel is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Poor Clares Cemetery in Aptos. Contributions are preferred to Poor Clares Monastery, 1671 Pleasant Valley Road, P.O. Box 160, Aptos, Calif. 95001-0160.
