Funeral services for Glenda Kay Spencer, 68 of Palestine, will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Bailey & Foster Chapel. Burial will follow in Tennessee Colony Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mrs. Spencer passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at Palestine Regional Medical Center. She was born October 9, 1946 in Palestine, to Tommy and Bonnie Churchman Richardson. She was a secretary for Flint Energy. Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by husband, Richard Spencer of Palestine; daughters, Christie Pitts and husband Michael of Athens, Denice Burrow Cronin of Elkhart, and step-daughter Jennifer Vanbreda of Little Elm; step-son Rich Spencer of Glendora, CA; sister Tamilyn Martindale and husband Rodney of Conway, AR; brothers, Harold Richardson of Palestine, and Tommy Richardson and wife Poppy of San Antonio; grandchildren, Bonnie Waggoner, Jamie Cronin, Michael Hightower, and Kenneth Hightower. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Crisis Center of Anderson and Cherokee County, 313 W. Debard, Palestine, Texas 75801.
