Mrs. Brenda K. (Blackburn) Fite, age 74, of Benton, KY Passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at the Marshall Co. Hospital E. R. in Benton. Born Sunday, July 28, 1940 in Xenia, OH. She was a member of the Eastern Star; 5 gallon blood donor and a First Responder at Fisher Price Toys. She retired as a Group Leader from Fisher Price Toys/Mattel Toys.
She was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church in Benton, KY.
Mrs. Fite is survived by her son, Jay Fite wife Laura of Benton, KY; two daughters, Lisa Mellies and husband Rodney of Benton, KY and Minda Probus husband Rex of Cape Girardeau, MO; eight grandchildren, Lucas Brummitte, Elizabeth Brummitte, Kyle Mellies, Emmet Murphy, Jeramy Jones, Autumn Fite, Erin Reed, Matthew Reed, wife Courtney; four great-grandchildren, Hayden Brummitte, Mason Reed, Susan Jones and Myra Jones; two brothers, Richard Craig Blackburn of Arizona and Paul F. Blackburn of Benton, KY and two sisters, Patricia Reed of Ohio and Beverly Salle of Benton KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Maurice H. Fite, two brothers James Lester Blackburn and William Blackburn. She was the daughter of the late Pearl and Myrtle Susan (Craig) Blackburn.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 17, 2015 at 5:00 pm with Rev. Joe Daryl Thorn officiating in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm on Saturday January 17, 2015 at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
