Arthur C. Knight, a retired Alabama Dry Dock and Shipbuilding worker and a veteran of World War I who fought in the battle of Argonne Forest, France, died Sunday in a Bay Pines, FL hospital.

A native of Lancaster, SC, and a resident of Mobile for 73 years, he was a member of Sage Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie M. Hawkes of Port Charlotte, FL; one son, Burl L. Knight of Mobile; two sisters, Nannie K. Starnes and Fannie Nevins, both of Lancaster, SC; three grandchildren and other relatives.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Arrangements by Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, Mobile.
