"Mrs. W. A. Bennett
Emma Elizabeth, daughter of Wm. and Bertha Schulenberg, was born April 6, 1881, in Butler County, Ia., and died at her home in Osceola, July 13, at the age of 44 years, 3 months and 7 days.
She was married November 9, 1901 to W. A. Bennett. To this union eight children were born: Ethel, Bertha, Dale, Hazel, Clarence, Ruth, Grace and Betty Louise. Dale and Hazel predeceased their mother in death. The other children are all at home.
In 1930 she was converted and united with the M. E. Church at Liberty and lived a good consistent, life. While she was in failing health for a long time she was not seriously ill until last Saturday.
She leaves to mourn her, her husband and children above mentioned, father and mother, four sisters, and three brothers, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
The following is a favorite poem of the girls:
M is for the million things she gave me,
O means only that she's growing old
T is for the tears she shed to save me,
H is for her heart of purest gold;
E is for her eyes with love light glowing,
R means right, and right she'll always be;
Put them all together they spell mother,
A word that means a world to me.

The family is very grateful to all the neighbors and friends who were so kind in this trial.

Funeral services were conducted in the home Wednesday, at 2 o'clock, by the Rev. Frank Lister, of Milo. Interment was made in the Osceola Cemetery."
