RICHARD W. “DICK” DONALDSON, SR., 90, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at his home.
Richard was born in Buffalo, New York on March 9, 1924 to the late Louis and Esther (Wagner) Ariemma. He married Jeanne K. Hensley on August 19, 1950 and she preceded him in death on July 7, 1994.
Richard retired in February 1991 from General Motors, Ontario after 32 years of service. Richard was a lifetime member of the NRA. He loved to sail on his boat, Mariah on Lake Erie. He enjoyed being on the boat at Put-N-Bay with his wife.
He is survived by two daughters, Katherine J. (Lacy) Shawver, South Carolina, Linda A. King, Mansfield, and his son, Richard W. (Debra) Donaldson, Jr., Galion, four grandchildren, Nancy Miller, Cheryl King, Jeff King, and Charlie King, three great-grandchildren, Katie Blackburn-Donaldson, Tyler Miller, and Treyven Thompson, a brother, Louie Ariemma, Burbank, California, and a former daughter-in-law Kuni Donaldson, Bucyrus.
Friends may call Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 223 West Main Street, Crestline. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
