Peggy Ruth Barton Smith was born in New Home, Lubbock County, Lubbock in 1929 to Wilmer Valton Smith and Lola Wheeler. She married William Henry (Bill) Bohner in New Home 26 March 1948. They raised their family near Kress in Swisher County,Texas. Their children were Phillip Bohner and Kathy Bohner Boster.
Bill died in June 1987 Cuchara,Colorado at the family cabin. His service was held at First Presbyterian Church, Plainview where both he and Peg were Elders. His cremains were scattered near the beloved family cabin in Cuchara.
Peggy married Willard Amman 10 August 1991 in Plainview and they made their home in Kerrville.
Peggy died 2 April 1995 in Kerrville and her body was cremated.
