~OBITUARY OF NORMA BIGLER

INDIANOLA, UT - Norma Lombardi BIGLER, Age 92, passed away from pneumonia at home on January 15, 2015. She was born on September 01, 1922 in Springville, Utah to John Michael and Ora Lillian Crawford LOMBARDI.

She spent her childhood in Soldier Summit and Thistle. She attended school in Thistle until 6th grade and was then bussed to Spanish Fork.

Mother, grew up during the "great depression" and was very frugal.

Her family moved to Indianola for a time and that is where she met her sweetheart, John LeGrand BIGLER, "Bud," at a dance. They were married June 20, 1939 in Spanish Fork. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple August 08, 1996.

Mother always worked on the family farm in Indianola right along side Dad. She raked and tromped hay, led the derrick horse, drove tractor, herded sheep and even milked the family cow. Her favorite hobby was reading a good novel, sometimes reading a couple a week. She loved poetry and collecting poems. She was very talented in sewing, scrap booking, canning, crocheting, embroidery and quilting, leaving quilts and afghans to the grandchildren. She was a great historian and gathered stories and pictures of Thistle and Indianola to leave her family. She could throw a meal together with no notice and cooked the best mutton and sourdough.

Mother was a member of the Fairview North Bend Daughters of the Pioneers since April 1987 and received her 25 year pin. She was a member of the Red Hat Rowdies where she dressed in purple and wore a big red hat when they went out to eat.

She was secretary of the Indianola Irrigation Company and an election judge holding the voting polls in her home for many years.

Mother and Dad traveled and visited many foreign countries and most of the US.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was the oldest living resident in Indianola.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (2002), daughter, LuAnn (2010), two sisters, OraJean WRIGHT and Barbara HANEY, four brothers, Max J., Earl, Bob, and John Michael Jr. and four grandchildren.
