Chicago Sun-Times - February 25, 1990:
Memorial services will be held today for retired local fisheries executive Robert P. Fletcher Jr., 91, who died Thursday in his Winnetka home.

Mr. Fletcher was a former president and trustee of the Chicago-based Booth Fisheries Corp., a division of Consolidated Foods.

He served with the corporation for several decades beginning in 1933, and is credited with successfully guiding the reorganization of the firm during the Depression.

Before joining Booth, he worked as a purchasing agent with E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Co. from 1925 to 1933 and as president of the Interstate Amesite Co. during the same period.

Mr. Fletcher was a graduate of the University of Delaware. He was a member of the Chicago Curling Club, which finished in second place in a national curling tournament held in the Chicago Armory during the mid-1960s.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; three sons, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Glencoe Union Church, 263 Park Avenue, Glencoe. Burial will be private.
