Joe J. Davidson, 74, Johnson City, entered into rest, Friday, January 16, 2015 at his residence.
Joe was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a son of the late Robert and Helen Murray Davidson and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Tony C. Davidson and Thomas W. Davidson.
Joe was retired from Preston Construction where he worked as a carpenter for many years. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 538. He enjoyed country music anything outdoors and the Dallas Cowboys. Joe loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Carolyn Davidson; two daughters, Robin Cloyd and husband, Kenny, Jonesborough and Bobbie Jo Shipley, Johnson City; one son, James Todd Davidson, Johnson City; grandchildren, Mandi Collier and husband, Colby, Hermitage, TN, Morgan Tipton, Taylor James Davidson and Jenna Brooke Davidson all of Johnson City; one great grandchild, Malia McFarland; other family members, Phillip Shipley, Jr, Robyn Davidson and Glen Tipton, Jr. and many neighborhood friends.
The family will greet guests and share memories from 12:30 until 2:30 PM Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Tetrick Funeral and Cremation Services, Johnson City and at other times at the residence.
Committal services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Mr. Johnny Ray Fair will officiate. Pallbearers will be David McNees, Mike McNees, Richard Preston, Craig Smith, Kenny Cloyd and Phillip Shipley, Jr.
