Robert and Sarah were living in Cherokee County, NC in 1850 and Robert shows up in the 1860 Census, also in Cherokee County, but Sarah is not listed. Then in the 1870 Census, he appears in Ivy near Stocksville, and he is shown to be abt. 73 years of age. The last event that he was recorded in was during the 1870 Census in Ivy, and he was shown to be 83 years of age. Sarah is believed to be buried here in the McKinney Cemetery with her husband Robert. She was also listed in this cemetery by the Big Ivy Historical Society, in 1985.
