Rev. Webb served active duty in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Battery B 292nd Field Artillery Observation Battalion in Rhineland, Germany. He received the following medals and ribbons during his service to our country: Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, and the World War II Victory Ribbon.

Rev. Webb was an Ordained Minister with the General Council of the Assemblies of God. He served as Senior Pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God (now Life Church) in Roanoke, VA for 40 years and as Pastor Emeritus for the past 7 years. Rev. Webb was very passionate about world missions. He traveled to Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Spain, and Germany leading mission trips that involved construction of schools, colleges, and churches.

He was a loving father to his children and a wonderful “Papaw” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Our family would like to express our love and appreciation to the nurses and staff of Eastwood Assisted Living at Friendship Manor where Troy made his home for the past 7½ months, and to the wonderful nurses and staff of Gentle Shepherd Hospice for their tender and compassionate care of our father during his final days.
