Nicole R. Cooper, 35, of Linn, KS, died January 11, 2015 at Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln, NE.

Visitation was Tuesday, 2 to 8 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. The family received friends 3 to 5 p.m.

A funeral service was 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. Rev. Randy Jellison-Knock officiated. Gina Miller played the organ while the congregation sang “In The Garden”, “Old Rugged Cross” and “How Great Thou Art.”

Pallbearers were Jace Demanett, Keith Larson, Mark Perry, Keith Perry, Kevin Larson and Jim Elyea. Burial was in the Linn Cemetery.

Nicole was born at Concordia, Kansas on December 27, 1979 to Tom and Deanna (Demanett) Giles. The family moved to Linn when she was eight years old and she attended Linn Schools. She worked as a nurse’s aide and for telemarketing. In 2008, she was in an automobile accident that left her paralyzed. With the help of friends and family, she was able to continue to live in Linn. Nicole enjoyed reading, playing games and shopping. Before her accident, she liked to go camping and swimming.

Survivors include her four children, Haley, Dillon, Garrett and Maggie; her parents, Tom and Deanna Giles, all of Linn; grandmother, Neva Demanett, Concordia, KS; and brother, Alex (Kristina) Hoffman, California. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, 115 W. 2nd, Washington, KS 66968.
