Barney Bert Ross, 78, of Austin and formerly of Corpus Christi, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in Austin.

Preceded in death by parents Bert and Pauline Ross, and brother Beryl Ross.

Barney Ross, longtime Used Tire Salesman in the Austin area is survived by his children, Carol Ross Mayes, of Hutto, children Carrie Calhoun and husband Marcus, Great-Grandchild Preston and Abigail; Aubrey Lee Mayes II, of Taylor, and wife Sarah, Great-Grandchildren Katelyn and Aubrey Lee, III; Barney J. Ross, of Austin and son Christopher Ross; Sunsedrae Ross, of Kingsbury, and children Kelsey Abreo and husband Phillip, of Buda and Kayla Wimberly of Dale; Tiffanie Ross and husband Brian Thibodeaux, of Kyle, and children Shelby, Karsen, and Levi; Bart Ross, of Austin, and son Ty; and Bryan Ross, of Coupland, and sons J.B., Dakota, Kasen.

Barney’s surviving siblings Evelyn Williamson, of Lockhart; Delores Ann Gooding and husband Clyde, of San Marcos; Mildred Thorn and husband Gordon, of Austin; John Ross and wife Nancy, of Lexington; Daryl Ross, of Pflugerville; and Ronnie Dale, of Austin. And numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Services for Barney will be held at All Faiths Funeral Service 8507 N IH35, Austin, with Heart to Heart Hospice Chaplain Kate Blackshear officiating. Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery on FM 969/Cadillac Drive, in Austin.
