Mrs. John H. Alexaner
Mrs. Mae Hawker Alexander, wife of John H. Alexander, 334 North Market street died at home Tuesday night at 8:55 o'clock after an illness of two weeks' duration, aged 64 years. She was a daughter of the late George W. and Catherine Zimmerman Hawker and a sister of Edward P.J. Hawker, Church Hill, who died Monday night. Surviving besides her husband are three children, Meredith Hawker Alexander, Frederick; George Leon Alexander, Waverly, N.Y.; Mrs. Robert Wiggins and Mrs. Robert Jones both of Baltimore; Ross R. Alexander, Frederick; six grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters, George H. Hawker, Frederick; Mrs. Margaret A. Payne, Miss Ella Hawker, Mrs. Roy Zimmerman, near Jefferson.
Mrs. Alexander was a devout member of the Evangelical Lutheran church of this city.
Funeral services from the funeral home Friday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment in Mr. Olivet cemetery. M.R. Etchison and Son funeral directors.
