Mrs. G. P. Irish dies after Long Illness

Mrs. Letty Irish, wife of G. P. Irish, one of the few remaining Civil War veterans of the community passed away at her home at 514 Third Street. Mrs. Irish had been in ill health for many years and it had been some time since she had been able to be out of doors.

Deceased was a resident of Bemidji for the past 30 years, being one of the early settlers of this community. She was 74 years, six months and four days of age.

Funeral services are to be held at the M. E. Ibertson Mortuary Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial will be made in Greenwood cemetery.

Mrs. Irish was a member of the G.A.R. Circle and members are requested to meet at Ibertson's at 2 o'clock to attend the funeral Friday afternoon. Mr. Irish will be remembered as having taken part in the old-time fiddlers contest at the Grand Theater ten days ago. (Bemidji Sentinel, Feb. 1926)
