∼HANNAH BARNETT BURIED MONDAY
Mrs. Hannah C. BARNETT, 75, senior member of the Barnett and Larsen Apparel Shop, died Thursday night in the Sanpete L.D.S. Hospital of causes incident to age.
Mrs. BARNETT was born in Mount Pleasant, May 02, 1875, a daughter of Peter H. and Josephine B. Nielsen OSTERLIN. She was married to Leo BARNETT, December 31, 1895. He died May 30, 1899.
Mrs. BARNETT had been an active civic and business leader. She served two terms as Mount Pleasant city treasurer and until her retirement in 1947, managed and operated a ladies ready-to-wear store.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, a member of the Mount Pleasant Pioneer Historical Association, and a member and past president of the Home Culture Club.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. LARSEN, all of Mount Pleasant and a granddaughter, Mrs. B. G. COX of Billings, Montana.
Funeral Services for Mrs. BARRETT were held Monday afternoon in the South Ward Chapel under the direction of Jacobs Mortuary.
The opening prayer was given by Arthur O. Nielsen. Musical selections were furnished by Rex Hafen and Mrs. Roger Hansen. Speakers were S. M. Nielsen and W. C. Olsen. The closing prayer was offered by Daniel Rasmussen and the grave dedicated by H. G. Ericksen.
