Mr. George Newton Pierce III, age 55 of Griffin, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Emory Healthcare of Atlanta.
Mr. Pierce was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 5, 1959.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George Newton Pierce, Jr. and Sarah Easom Pierce; sister, Marie Brown.
Before becoming disabled, Mr. Pierce worked for KIA Auto Manufacturing Company. He liked to fish, loved Nascar races and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his son, Lee Pierce and wife, Katie and their unborn son, Hudson Lee of Newnan; sister, Vicky Reeves; niece, Marisa Brown; nephew, Eric Brown and wife, Jenny; great niece, Emily Brown; his fiancée, Renee Sherred and her children, Keeshla and Michael Sherred; and her grandchild, Jaiden Sherred.
A memorial service for Mr. George Newton Pierce III will be conducted on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A visitation will follow the service.
