Monte Smith, of Imlay City, passed away, Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Medilodge of Yale. Monte Lee Smith, the son of Arnold and Delila Smith, was born on August 21, 1929, in Detroit and grew up in there. He later lived in Viola, Tennessee and St. Clair Shores.
He married Beverly June Biggar on August 5, 1949, in Detroit.
Monte served his county proudly with the United States Marine Corp during WWII.
He earned an Engineering Degree from Cass Technical School in Detroit. He retired from Wilson Automation in Roseville where he was a Project Design Engineer.
Monte was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Roseville.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City. Chaplin John Mulder will officiate.
Burial will follow in Arcadia Township Cemetery in Lum.
