He was born on August 13, 1939 in West Allis, Wisconsin to Howard and Emma (nee Careful) Fahrenkrug.
Richard was a lifelong educator who had a passion for teaching. He loved all animals including birds, and earned the nickname “Birdman”. He was also a fan of the Packers and Brewers.
Richard is survived by his brothers, Virgil (Joyce) and Daniel (Norma) Fahrenkrug; and sister in-law, Barbara Fahrenkrug. Richard is further survived by other nieces, nephews, other dear relatives and friends.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Clifford, Donald, Howard, Lois, and Emil.
Funeral services for Richard will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union Street Hartford, WI 53027.) Family will greet relatives and friends on Monday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Interment in St. Johns Cemetery, Rubicon, Wisconsin.
