Born in Bridgeton to Floyd and Gladys (nee Cassaday) Hill, she was a graduate of Vineland High School and worked as an administrative assistant, most recently for QIS in Rosenhayn. Carolyn shared her beautiful voice as she enjoyed singing with the choir at Grace Bible Church, where she attended regularly. She was a loving daughter, sister and mother, but she was an amazingly loving grandmother who will be extremely missed by her grandchildren. And what will be even more missed, as Carolyn was known for her cooking, was her amazing strawberry jelly. Grammy's strawberry jelly could bring joy to the heart on even the worst days.
Carolyn is survived by her parents, Floyd and Gladys Hill of Pittsgrove; her daughters, Renee Bittle (Frank) of Pittsgrove and Robin Garrison (Rocky) of Carneys Point; her sister, Annette Kylar (Joe) of Strasburg, PA; her brothers, Charles Hill (Cheryl) of Monroeville, Kenneth Hill (Eileen) of Pittsgrove, Jerry Hill (Grace) of Carneys Point, Glenn Hill (Terry) of Monroeville and Jim Hill (Roberta) of Apex, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Reese, Katrina, Dayton, Chase and Conner; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, James Griffith.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 64 Broad St., Woodstown, NJ 08098 with a visitation from 10 AM - 12 PM followed by the service at 12 PM. Interment will follow at the Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery in Monroeville.
