Robert (Doc) Morris Deskins, 89, of Fairlea, West Virginia, passed away on Sunday July 2, 2017 at Greenbrier Health care Center in Fairlea.
Mr. Deskins was born April 1, 1928 in Sinks Grove, the son of the late William Lester and Inez Mullens Deskins.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, member of the First Baptist Church of Fairlea, former member and chief of the Fairlea Fire Department, a retired salesman for Allis-Chambers Tractor Company and member to the Appalachian American Indians of West Virginia.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jerry Rose Deskins; brother, William M. Deskins; sisters, Mary Sword, Hazel Harmon and Thelma O'Brien.
Surviving are his daughters: Deb McIntire of Fairlea and Lori Williams and her husband, Jim of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Angie Wilson (Jeremy) of NC and Justin McIntire (Christina) of Charleston, WV; great grandchildren, Ethan Wilson, Emma Wilson, Claire McIntire and Rosaleigh McIntire; sister, Leona Cindia of Canton, OH and several nieces and nephews.
