MOCKSVILLE - Mrs. Geneva Sain Foster, 83, of U.S. Hwy. 64 E. died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at her home. Mrs. Foster was born Sept. 13, 1921, in Davie County to the late Albert H. and Rosa Janice Smith Sain. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Foster was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, quilting, crocheting, sewing, cooking and spending quality time with her family. Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her husband, Sammie "Snake" Foster, on June 8, 1988; a sister, Ora Mae Chaffin; and three brothers, Lonnie Sain, Casper Sain and Roscoe Sain. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Jerry) Beane of Winston-Salem and Lynn (John) Sheek of Mocksville; a son, Leonard Foster of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; two sisters, Sarah (D.K.) Whitaker of Mocksville and Helen Jordan of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; a brother, Lester "Pete" Sain of Mocksville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two special caregivers, Kathy Harpe and Nell Wyatt; and two very special friends, John Frank and Hazel Garwood. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, at Eaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ardis Payne and the Rev. Alvin Pope officiating. Interment will be in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Dec. 11, at Eaton Funeral Home. The family requests that memorials be considered for Hospice of Davie County, P.O. Box 848, Mocksville, NC 27028.
