He was born the son of Orville Simpson Gonterman and Carrie Pearl Thompson Gonterman in Cub Run, Kentucky, on December 28, 1920.
Mr. Gonterman was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and worked for General Electric in Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eileen Kerr Gonterman, three brothers: Morrison Liebon Gonterman, Nelson Lee Gonterman, and Carl Freeman Gonterman.
Survivors include his sister Zella G. Thompson of Mumfordville, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were in Thayer Cemetery located in Thayer, Missouri. Arrangements were with Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
