ALBANY — The funeral service of Alma H. Daniel, 90, of Albany, who died Saturday, February 11, 2006, at Sylvester Health Care will be conducted Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at 3 p.m. at Amazing Grace Baptist Church. Dr. Ronald R. Baxley and the Rev. Chuck Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
A native of Randolph Co., GA, Mrs. Daniel had resided in Albany for the past fifty years. She was a homemaker, a former member of the Golden Key Club and a charter member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Denton Daniel; two sons, William L. Daniel, Richard Eugene Daniel; a daughter, Yvonne Daniel Lytton; five grandchildren, Marie Daniel, Cindy Odom, Jimmy Denton Daniel, William Larry Daniel Jr. and Brittany Brier Daniel.
Survivors include three sons, Melvin Daniel of Putney, O.H. Daniel of Worth County and Andy Daniel of Albany; a daughter, Eleanor (Beaty) Daniel Odom of Garner, NC; 21 grandchildren; thirty five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.
The family is at the residence of O.H. and Jean Daniel, 168 Worth Rd., Sylvester, GA.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
